Nyvatex Health-Mat™ Immune Clinical Trial: A Generic Comment Here is a “layman’s summary” of the human immune system clinical trial study of the patented Nyvatex Health-Mat™ by Dr. Marian Kohut, Principal Investigator (P.I.). This is all that can comfortably be said at present about the results of the recently concluded six (6) month human clinical trial of the patented (& patents pending) Nyvatex Health-Mat™ conducted at Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa. Dr. Kohut explains that revealing any actual data at ANY TIME prior to submittal to influential Immunology Journals will probably erode any possibility of having the study published by those journals. ALL medical journals are very territorial. The three peer-reviewed journals covering three different areas of the immune system Dr. Kohut is submitting the results to, insist on contemporaneous publication, with no prior publication ANYWHERE. (This is a standard absolute requirement in all areas of research medicine, controlling which important clinical studies get to be published in the most influential peer-reviewed journals. Of course, Nyvatex, like every serious health technology innovator, wants their product studies to be in the “best” peer-reviewed journals—Ledbetter, President, Nyvatex)
Date: January 26th,
2004 s/ Marian “Lay Summary”—Dr. Marian Kohut—Iowa St. Univ. 01-26-04Our preliminary findings suggest that use of the (patented & patents pending) Nyvatex Health-Mat™ for 6 months is associated with alterations of immune cell number and immune responsiveness. In particular, we observed changes in the number of T helper cells and the number of “activated” T helper cells. Changes in several cytokines (Interleukin-4 and Inteferon-gamma) were also found. C- reactive protein levels were also altered in subjects who used the Nyvatex Health-Mat™. Finally, communication between the neuroendocrine system and the immune system appeared to change over time. (emphasis added) At this stage, conclusions regarding use of the Nyvatex Health-Mat™ and the prevention of disease or recovery from disease cannot be made. However, the results are promising with regards to the possibility that use of the Nyvatex Health-Mat™ may alter immune function. -- Dr. Marian Kohut, PhD, Iowa State University. Inflammation- the elusive holy grail of medicine ?--A partial NY TIMES book review:Ledbetter additional comment about this just-published book. See partial book review excerpts below: The patented (and patents pending) Nyvatex Health-Mat™ has been clinically shown in human trials to beneficially mediate the interaction between the human neuroendocrine system and the immune system (see “lay summary” above), seemingly capable of beneficially affecting many chronic diseases . Has the "Holy Grail" referred to in this book been found in the immune system modulation action effect of the patented Nyvatex Health-Mat™ passive healing energy invention??? Maybe? Perhaps? The public must wait until the data are published.---Ledbetter, President, Nyvatex (Inventor) ======================================================= THE NY TIMES BOOK REVIEW EXCERPTS---“February 3, 2004---NY TIMES”BOOKS ON HEALTH Attacking InflammationBy JOHN LANGONE The Inflammation Cure," by Dr. William Joel Meggs, with Carol Svec. Contemporary Books, $19.95. “Inflammation keeps people alive after injuries or infections by limiting damage to their bodies, but when it is out of control, it gives rise to a host of ailments and autoimmune disorders like lupus and rheumatoid arthritis.” “Dr. Meggs, an inflammation specialist at the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University, makes the point that inflammation "may well turn out to be the elusive holy grail of medicine, the single phenomenon that holds the key to sickness and health." (emphasis added) “Inflammation, Dr. Meggs writes, is a common thread that links heart disease, some forms of cancer, diabetes, migraine headaches, irritable bowel, and even periodontal disease. "Every fever, bump, rash, or bruise is the result of inflammation," he says. "On a microscopic level, the inflammatory response involves dozens of different chemicals, each performing a specific action." (emphasis added)”
