BILLINGS, Mont., October 7th, 2004--Nyvatex announced today that a laboratory test of its patented Health-Mat™ at Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa, showed a statistically significant 55% improvement in immune system T-cell proliferation in blood samples placed with the Nyvatex Health-Mat™ versus the control without the Health-Mat™ effect. 144 samples of blood from volunteers were tested by incubation in cultured media with and without activation. These results are in addition to a just-completed immune system clinical trial, which reports are being prepared.
The Nyvatex Health-Mat’s effect on activated (memory) T-cells was not statistically significant, but non-activated (“naïve” or “just-born”) T-cells in culture media alone proliferated to a statistically significant value of 0.547 when exposed to the Health-Mat™, compared to 0.353 when not exposed, which is a 55% increase. Nyvatex CEO John C. Ledbetter stated that the improvement in non-treated T-cells suggests that the Health-Mat™ is encouraging proliferation of naïve (“just-born”) T-cells.
What stimulating proliferation of “naïve” T-cells means: A “naïve” T-cell is a “just born” T-cell that can develop when needed into whatever the immune system needs to do its job, much as “naïve” stem cells can become any organ part needed by the body for regeneration and repair. A nationally recognized biotech researcher has stated that a non-invasive, no-side-effects method to enable the human body to stimulate “naïve” T- Cell proliferation is the HOLY GRAIL of biotech science researchers, which no one in scores of other biotech companies / universities has yet apparently invented.
Naïve T-Cell deficits can result in allowing scores of diseases to develop. For instance, naïve T-cells are singled out and depleted by HIV. A big naïve T-cell increase may provide an exceptional offense/defense to many diseases, both chronic as well as infectious. Many researchers now think a large number of diseases have a cause related to a compromised (naïve T-cell deficit) immune system.
Chemotherapy can also be the cause of a reduced immune system. Chemotherapy can’t tell the difference between cancer cells and fast-growing healthy cells, including red and white blood cells. As a result, one of the most serious potential side effects of many types of chemotherapy is a low red & white blood cell count. It is of interest that several chemo patients have reported good results by sleeping regularly on the Nyvatex Health-Mat in addition to their regular treatment.
It is widely accepted that just being over 70 years old, yet in "good" health, can also result in a reduced immune system. The blood samples treated in the very successful Nyvatex Health-Mat effect clinical investigation were from volunteers at least 65 years old, many past 70 years old.
Describing the potential significance of the test results, Ledbetter stated: “These results may offer an explanation for the substantial immune system benefits reported over many years by users of the Nyvatex Health-Mat™. There is widespread developing scientific suspicion and support that a malfunctioning or compromised weak immune system is a major culprit in the underlying causes of a large number of chronic degenerative diseases, including over 200 types of cancer, Alzheimer’s, many types of arthritis, osteoporosis, and scores more of these “middle-age” or “western” diseases.
